This song discusses the reasons why the colonists chose the Articles of Confederation to be their first written form of government. However, towards the end of the song, the singer reveals why these were a negative first attempt for the newly founded United States of America.

I really enjoyed watching this video. I am always looking for new ways to bring songs and visuals into the classroom experience. It might be even better if you were able to paste the lyrics on the page while you are singing it (instead of the scrolling words at the bottom). ParrMr Videos are about science and he uses a similar program to write new songs, sing them, and show them on youtube. If you are still working on adapting your history lessons, it would become more enjoyable for the audience to have the words scrolling in larger font while you are singing it.

When I lay my head to rest tonight I'll pray that the three and a half minutes I spent listening to this song will be erased from my memory, or at lest cast deep into the bowels of my soul, to never be heard from again.
